CONTRAINDICATIONS

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding - treatment is possible, though anesthetic will not be used

Any preexisting eyebrow micropigmentation/ tattoo done by a different artist- Emily will discuss with Client
-
Birthmarks or moles in the eyebrow- Emily will discuss with Client
-
Inability to lie down- this service requires the client to lie still, flat on their back, without head elevation (such as a pillow) throughout the pigment application portion of the appointment

Immune disorder/ taking immunosuppression medication - a doctor's note of clearance is required and an addendum to the consent form must be signed by the Client

Uncontrolled diabetes - doctor's note is required and an addendum to the consent form must be signed by the Client

Cancer - must be 6 months post chemo, otherwise a doctor's note of clearance is required and an addendum to the consent form must be signed by the Client

Liver disease or cirrhosis- doctor’s note is required

Epilepsy - doctor’s note is required

Delayed wound healing - doctor’s note is required

Accutane - must be at least 6 months post treatment

ANY symptoms of skin disease, infection, or irritation present on the brow area

Recent Botox in forehead or eye area- Emily will discuss with Client

Sunburn or suntan on face
- Compromised skin (severe thinning or fragility of skin due to age, medications, or health issues) is not eligible for Nano Hairstrokes (formerly Microblading). MicroShading is the correct technique for this skin type

Sun- damaged skin is not eligible for Nano Hairstrokes (formerly Microblading). MicroShading is the correct technique for this skin type

Wrinkled or creased skin in the eyebrow area is not suitable for achieving an optimal Permanent Makeup result

Scars in the eybrows may not retain pigment

Clients with a history of eyebrow Trichotillomania may have underlying scar tissue which is not ideal for achieving an optimal Permanent Makeup result. In addition, active eyebrow hair pulling during the post- service healing period can significantly compromise the healed outcome. An addendum to the consent form must be signed by the Client
