EYELINER CONTRAINDICATIONS

Under 18 years of age

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding - anesthetic is not possible, so service is not possible

Allergy or sensitivity to topical anesthetics (e.g. lidocaine, epinephrine)

Known resistance to topical or injectable numbing agents (Novocaine, lidocaine, etc)- Numbing is a required part of the Permanent Eyeliner procedure. Clients who do not respond to numbing agents during other procedures (such as dental work or medical treatments) are unlikely to achieve adequate numbness for this service and are therefore not suitable candidates for it

Old Permanent Eyeliner/ micropigmentation/ tattoo- Emily will discuss with Client

Botox less than 10 days prior to appointment

LASIK surgery less than 3 months prior to appointment

Currently have eyelash extensions

Keloids, birthmarks or moles in area, or if you have tendency to keloid

Sarcoidosis

Diabetic - doctor's note is required and an addendum to consent form must be signed by Client

Autoimmune disorders being treated with steroid medication - doctor's note is required and an addendum to consent form must be signed by Client
-
Cancer – must be 6 months post chemo, otherwise a doctor's note of clearance is required and an addendum to consent form must be signed by Client

Circulatory or bleeding disorders - doctor's note is required and an addendum to consent form must be signed by Client

Epilepsy - doctor's note is required

Delayed wound healing- doctor’s note is required

Currently taking blood thinning medication

Accutane - must be at least 6 months post treatment

Any symptoms of skin disease or irritation present on the lash lines or eyelid area

Use of lash growth serum (LatisseR, Grande LashR, Lash BoostR or similar products) must be discontinued for a minimum of 30 days prior to the Permanent Eyeliner procedure. These products increase vascularity of the lash line, which will result in excessive bleeding and compromise the outcome of the service

Inability to lie down- the Permanent Eyeliner procedure requires the client to lie still, flat on their back, without head elevation (such as a pillow) throughout the pigment application portion of the appointment
