DERMAPLANING CONTRAINDICATIONS

​

• Skin cancer (facial)

• Uncontrolled diabetes

• Existing acne outbreak

• Active cold sore present

• Active skin conditions on the face ie: dermatitis, eczema,   psoriasis

• Numerous raised areas on the face ie: moles, skin tags

• Facial wound or lesion of any kind

• Extreme skin laxity and wrinkles

• Botox injections within the last week

• Injectable Filler within the last 2 weeks

• Retinol products used within the last week

• Use of Accutane within the last 6 months 

• Inability to lie down- this service requires the client to lie still, flat on their back, without head elevation (such as a pillow) for approximately 45-60 minutes
